Coaches Bios
Head Coach – Kristy Brager (Lead coach for 13 & Overs)
Assistant Coach – Brett Koerten (Lead coach for 11 & 12s)
Hi, my name is Brett, and I am excited to coach this summer! I am from Tennessee and I started swimming competitively at the age of 6. I continued swimming throughout college for the University of Wisconsin. I specialized in the 400 IM, 200 Butterfly, and 200 Breast. I completed my swimming career last summer at the 2008 Olympic Trials in Omaha where I competed in the 400 IM. Since then I've been a Student-Assistant Coach at UW and also a volunteer coach for West High School's men's team. I am currently working at Blackhawk Church as an intern for their high school youth group. I hope you are as excited as I am to start swimming this summer!
Assistant Coach - Patrick Finley (Lead coach for 9 & 10s)
Patrick is returning for his third summer as the 9-10 coach. Patrick is starting his fifth year at the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire. For UWEC, he swam all four years and was captain for two of them. He is very excited to be back at Seminole and can't wait to coach the 9 and 10 year olds!
Assistant Coach – Andi Kent (Lead coach for 8 & Under's)
Believe it or not... She's back. Andi has been involved in Seminole swimming for 17 years now, first as a swimmer and now returning in her fourth summer as the lead 8 and under coach. Andi will be graduating from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse this coming December with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in general sciences. She was a member of their swim team for 4 years before hanging up her goggles for good. In the off season, she has learned many valuable strategies and techniques that she is excited to use on her group (mostly educational, but they relate to swimming more than you would think). She is looking forward to another summer filled with lots of fun, good weather, learning, and of course some swimming!
Dan will be returning as a part of the Seminole coaching staff as he embarks in his second season as our evening stroke clinic coach. Dan is currently a junior at UW Madison, where he also competes as a collegiate swimmer. We look forward to seeing what new and exciting drills, techniques and practices he brings to the Sharks this summer.
Kenzie is returning for her second summer as the Head Dive coach. She is ready to use her numerous years of diving experience to make Seminole diving the best it can be. She current attends UW Madison.
Sarah is excited to be returning in her third year as assistant dive coach.
